Job Summary

Lead compliant medical storytelling by translating complex clinical data into clear HCP content, owning Core Sales Aids and references, and steering through MLR while partnering with art, strategy, and account teams to drive measurable brand impact.

Own and maintain high editorial standards across brand content and HCP collateral.
Annotate and reference materials meticulously to ensure regulatory alignment and enabling rapid MLR reviews.
Mentor junior writers while delivering craft-forward concepts and final outputs that balance creativity with compliance.

Job Description

Responsibilities

Bring brand strategies to life with compelling, compliant content across sales and marketing channels — with deep ownership of Core Sales Aids, leave-behinds, and HCP collateral
Annotate and reference all content meticulously, building complete reference lists that align with regulatory standards
Provide senior-level craft and judgment on every deliverable, from early concepts through final execution
Balance hands-on copywriting with mentorship—modeling craft for junior writers and freelancers as you contribute directly to the work
Set a high editorial bar — clarity, accuracy, compliance, and creativity in every piece — while fostering a culture of curiosity, honesty, and collaboration
Present your work to clients with confidence, articulating ideas, rationale, and creative recommendations
Build and maintain strong client trust through thoughtful partnership, clear communication, and consistent delivery
Steer copy through MLR review with poise — defending strong creative while keeping it compliant
Partner closely with art directors, strategists, and account teams to deliver work that drives measurable impact
Translate complex scientific, clinical, and regulatory information into clear, compelling, and compliant storytelling

Requirements

7+ years of healthcare/pharma/medical device marketing experience (agency background required)
A portfolio that demonstrates: Core Sales Aids and other sales enablement work, Annotation samples and reference handling, Writing across HCP, patient, and consumer audiences
Proven ability to write: Articles built from KOL interviews and roundtable discussions, Persuasive, MLR-ready promotional content for HCP audiences
Proven proficiency with: Veeva Vault (linking, tagging, annotation workflows), Interpreting scientific and clinical studies and referencing them with accuracy, Steering content through MLR review and approval processes
Strong understanding of how advertising, marketing, and pharma compliance work together
Comfortable using modern collaboration tools (Slack, Zoom, Google Workspace, Mavenlink, Teams)
Highly driven, curious, and meticulous about detail
Willingness to work occasional nights or weekends as projects require
Ability to travel periodically for client meetings, workshops, or productions
