Job Description

Responsibilities

Craft media strategies, lead campaigns from concept to execution and deliver standout media results that elevate the visibility and reputation of our clients
Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with national, local and trade journalists, editors, and producers
Assist with program strategies and presentation development for existing clients and new prospects
Write and distribute press releases, pitches, and media kits that reflect clients' messaging.
Identify and leverage current trends and news to proactively bring clients earned opportunities relevant to their brand
Lead internal and client meetings relating to earned media efforts and manage immediate next steps

Requirements

5-8 years of previous experience in Public Relations agency or in-house and a B.A. in Public Relations, Communications or a related discipline
A proven track record of securing coverage in lifestyle and news media outlets.
Ability to build lasting relationships with media contacts
A deep interest in current trends and culture and the ability to leverage this to deliver media results
Strong analytical and written skills to develop and execute effective media strategies
Ability to work in a collaborative, creative, entrepreneurial and fast-paced environment
Experience with media platforms such as Cision, Muck Rack and News Exposure
