Job Summary

Own the Star Wars brand and product strategy across global markets, guiding development, go-to-market, and partner alignment to grow share and sustain franchise health.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Drive brand and product strategy for the Star Wars portfolio, supporting market share growth and long-term franchise health.
  • Manage global product development and marketing processes, including line planning, portfolio optimization, and lifecycle management across multiple fan segments.
  • Partner with global commercial teams to support placement with key retailers and ensure the Star Wars product line delivers category leadership worldwide.
  • Collaborate closely with Disney/Lucasfilm on content strategy, product approvals, and creative alignment.
  • Stay on the pulse of fan behavior, media trends, and emerging play patterns.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams - including regional marketing, consumer marketing, design & development, packaging, engineering, sales, demand planning, finance, and costing - to bring Star Wars products and experiences to market.
  • Translate consumer research, fan insights, market trends, and competitive analysis into clear, insight-driven strategies and stories for internal teams and retail partners.
  • Collaborate with Brand Marketing Managers and licensing partners on global briefs, brand positioning, and consumer-led marketing activation across digital, retail, and experiential channels.
  • Own point-of-sale (POS) performance narratives, with a clear understanding of portfolio drivers, risks, and opportunities.
  • Support go-to-market planning, asset development, and messaging by providing product details, franchise context, and unique selling propositions.

Requirements

  • 5 years of experience in consumer goods, brand/product management, business management, or marketing (licensed brands experience a plus).
  • A strong passion for storytelling, pop culture, and fandom - with the ability to balance creative integrity and commercial outcomes.
  • Experience working cross-functionally and influencing without authority in a matrixed, global organization.
  • Analytical and creative strength: comfortable with data, financials, and spreadsheets, while also excelling at ideation and narrative-building.
  • Experience working with international commercial teams and a strong understanding of omnichannel retail strategy.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling business narratives for internal teams, licensors, and retail partners.
  • A proactive, collaborative mindset and an entrepreneurial spirit balanced with strong organizational navigation skills.
  • Comfort with experimentation, risk-taking, and challenging the status quo while respecting brand and licensor guidelines.
  • A commitment to inclusivity, collaboration, and seeking diverse perspectives.
  • Agility and resilience in a fast-paced, franchise-driven environment.
