The Whisper Group

The Whisper Group is an exit readiness practice for women owned businesses. We help women from scale through sale, and we focus specifically on helping turn their life's work into life-changing assets. The Whisper Group was founded by Carrie Kerpen, but it is about way more than just her own exit advisory practice. Clients who work with the Whisper Group are paired with exited female founders who have built and sold a business in their specific industry. Clients are led through a process known as the Whisper Way-- a methodology and planning program designed to make a business more valuable at exit. When a client is done with the program, they'll have a healthier, more valuable business that they can either decide to keep running, or join the ranks of women that successfully sold their businesses. The name "Whisper" comes from the seven tenets a business-owner needs to make their business sellable for maximum value: evaluating their Why, How, Income, Secret sauce, Profitability, Executive team, and Roar factor (i.e. the confidence to sit in a room full of men to negotiate the biggest deal of their lifetime). But it also comes from the fact that no one is speaking loudly about the exits of women business owners. We talk about fundraising. We talk about bootstrapping. We talk about work-life balance. But we don't often discuss selling for life changing sums of money. And I think that's because we simply don't realize it's possible. The Whisper Group is here to change that.
