Job Summary

Own the content creation and social listening touchpoints for a campus-focused ambassador program, driving engagement with small business owners and growing the college outreach network.

Content & Listening Ownership: Build Metro Market content across core categories and monitor groups using TweetDeck to surface cash flow and growth needs.
Community Outreach: Find new groups, respond to posts, and nurture relationships with small business owners in target locales.
Program Promotion: Promote the College Ambassador program and fuel ambassador recruitment and participation.

Job Description

Responsibilities

Create content for your Metro Market covering industries in our core categories (Beauty, Health, Retail, Fitness, Home Improvement, Events, Learning, Technicians, Food, Pet Services, Childcare & Family Services, Wellness & Alternative Health, and more)
Social Listening: Use TweetDeck and other social listening tools to follow online communities and respond to Small Business Owners seeking solutions to cash flow and growth issues
Find new groups and respond to posts
Promote our College Ambassador program

Requirements

Commit to 1 weekly meeting with the Social Media team and 2 hours per day during weekdays
No set hours; work at your own pace
Remote work arrangement
Ideal for students studying PR, Strategic Communications, Marketing, or Journalism
Location priority: Los Angeles, CA or Florida areas
Duration: May through December 2026 semester
Must be able to work with content creation and community social listening components
Experience with content creation and social listening tools (e.g., TweetDeck) preferred
Able to follow group/community outreach and respond to posts

Preferred

Clear writing, creative headlines
Organized with outreach and follow-ups
Knows how to research a small business owner audience
Comfortable in Google Sheets and Docs
