Own and manage DFDS’s social media calendar and publish engaging organic content across platforms, while actively monitoring conversations and applying social data to guide Marketing and Brand decisions and strengthen online communities.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Own and maintain DFDS’s social media calendar across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and LinkedIn, coordinating content and publishing schedules to ensure a consistent and engaging presence.
  • Create, publish and optimising organic social content; adapting formats, messaging and posting cadence to support brand, campaign and commercial objectives.
  • Monitor and managing customer conversations, responding to community interactions and working closely with Customer Care teams to ensure queries, complaints and escalations are handled effectively.
  • Using social listening and performance data to monitor sentiment, identify emerging trends and provide actionable audience insights to Marketing, Brand and Commercial stakeholders.
  • Build and strengthening DFDS’s online communities through proactive engagement, identifying opportunities to join relevant conversations while ensuring all activity follows DFDS brand, governance and community guidelines.

Requirements

  • You’re a social media enthusiast with 1–2 years’ experience in social media, digital marketing, content or a similar role.
  • You’ll have a strong understanding of major social platforms and emerging trends, with hands-on experience creating, managing and evaluating social content and campaigns.
  • You can demonstrate creative thinking skills as well as strong organisation and attention to detail.
  • You’ll be confident managing content calendars and publishing schedules, while bringing excellent communication and relationship-building skills and the ability to engage with customers and online communities professionally.
  • You’ll be naturally curious and commercially minded, with an interest in understanding what drives audiences and keeps conversations moving.
  • You’ll have experience using data to identify trends and turn insights into actionable recommendations.
  • You’ll also understand the importance of brand consistency, governance and content compliance, and be comfortable working collaboratively with Marketing, Customer Care, Brand, Content and Commercial teams.
