Job Description

Responsibilities

  • shape and communicate customer value propositions and product lifecycle strategy for Oxford University Press’ global English Language Teaching portfolio.
  • support the development of messaging, positioning, and go‑to‑market strategies that contribute to growth in sales, customer acquisition, and long-term engagement.
  • create effective launch materials and marketing tools that inform product and service development, guide global and regional marketing activity and contribute to the wider marketing strategy.
  • introduce new digital products and features, using customer and market insights to help guide development and build clear, differentiated value propositions.
  • collaborate closely with central and regional Marketing, Sales Enablement and Product teams, to develop accessible messaging, marketing resources and sales tools that clearly communicate the benefits of OUP’s ELT offerings.
  • contribute to the creation of campaigns, onboarding materials, and retention activities that encourage product adoption and support a positive customer experience.
  • bring strong analytical skills and an interest in understanding customer needs and competitor activity.
  • help streamline processes, support good practice in proposition development, coordinate research to enhance product understanding, and manage budgets responsibly to ensure value for money.
  • contribute meaningfully to global marketing strategy, develop clear product narratives, and support the evolution of OUP’s digital ELT portfolio.

Requirements

  • Customer-focused, solution-focused, team player.
  • Able to think creatively and demonstrate effective problem-solving skills.
  • Able to synthesise data and information and use it to inform customer value propositions and marketing plans.
  • Excellent copywriting skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Comfortable with change and open to learning.
  • Ability to multi-task and comfortable managing / working across different project teams in a busy environment.
  • Familiar with marketing fundamentals (use of data, KPIs, customer & product lifecycle, customer journey, customer personas etc.).
  • Lifelong learner, keen to evolve thinking and ways of working.

Preferred

  • ELT background and / or language learning is desirable.
  • Previous use of ClickUp and Highspot is desirable.
