Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Content strategy & brand development: Work with our Research, Creative and Comms teams to help define client brand platforms, positioning and messaging, translating these into content strategies, themes and campaigns that support business and marketing objectives
  • Creative thinking & innovation: Bring fresh ideas and creative energy to key accounts. Challenge and build on the team’s thinking, using audience insights, platform developments and emerging formats to create compelling content and campaigns
  • Content management & quality: Oversee the creation, curation, editing and publishing of digital and social content. Provide constructive feedback to ensure work is engaging, accurate, on-brand and platform-optimised. Identify sensitive issues and follow agreed approval and escalation processes
  • Hands-on execution: Translate agreed strategy and ideas into platform-specific delivery. Contribute directly to concepts, copy, scripts and briefs, and support production and publishing when needed
  • Team leadership & delivery: Guide and motivate project teams, delegate effectively and coordinate priorities, workloads, deadlines and approvals. Take responsibility for content quality and timely delivery across assigned accounts, supporting colleagues’ development while managing your own workload
  • Client relationships & presentations: Build trusted relationships with key clients, lead content discussions and present ideas and recommendations clearly. Translate client feedback into actionable direction for the team
  • KPIs: Take ownership of tracking and reviewing agreed content KPIs. Work with the Research & Performance Lab to interpret results, present findings and recommendations to clients, and guide the team in adapting content plans and tactics to improve performance
  • Live & reactive content: Planning and coordinate delivery around live sporting events and emerging opportunities, making timely editorial decisions and contributing directly to

Requirements

  • Relevant experience: 6+ years in digital and social content, working with brands and/or sports rights holders, in-house or agency-side
  • Content strategy: Ability to turn brand objectives and audience insights into effective campaigns
  • Creative thinking : Fresh ideas, strong storytelling and the confidence to challenge and improve the team’s work
  • Storytelling : Strong storytelling across copy and video, with an eye for compelling hooks, narrative, pacing and platform-specific formats
  • Hands-on skills: Excellent copywriting and editing, with experience developing content, scripts and briefs
  • Team leadership: Experience guiding teams or freelancers, setting priorities and providing constructive feedback
  • Client relationships : Confident presenting ideas, leading discussions and building trusted relationships
  • Performance : Ability to turn research and content data into practical improvements
  • Organisation: Comfortable managing multiple accounts and deadlines, solving problems and getting stuck in
  • Sport and platforms : A passion for sport and strong knowledge of digital platforms and audience behaviour
