Job Summary

Own multi-channel public information campaigns with cross-agency collaboration, turning data into messaging, budgets, and media plans that influence attitudes and behaviours in a political context.

  • Campaign ownership: manage integrated paid media from brief to delivery across broadcast and digital, with budget, creative strategy, and messaging.
  • Stakeholder & agency leadership: direct internal teams and external agencies to secure buy-in and value for money.
  • Insight-driven optimization: analyse data to set objectives, briefs, and improvements across campaigns in pace with political priorities.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • The post will sit in the directorate’s specialist marketing team who work on campaigns to inform the public and/or change attitudes and behaviours, targeting a range of audiences across all media channels.
  • Support and implement marketing strategies in support of the Home Secretary’s priority areas.
  • Work on campaigns that improve lives and the safety and security of the UK.
  • Work with some of the best media and creative agencies in the business.
  • Experience in delivering integrated paid-for marketing campaigns from initial research through strategic development, creative and media planning, implementation and evaluation.
  • Build strong relationships with a diverse range of audiences and stakeholders.
  • Work effectively with agencies and suppliers.
  • Multi-channel marketing campaigns to inform the public and change behaviours, including budgeting, creative strategy, messaging, and planning and implementing paid media campaigns.
  • Analysing and prioritising data and insight to inform objectives, briefings and optimisation; evaluating impact.
  • Strong project management and prioritisation across multiple campaigns; work at pace.

Requirements

  • Experience across all aspects of multi-channel (broadcast and digital) marketing campaigns to inform the public and change behaviours, from brief to delivery, including budgeting, developing creative strategy, shaping propositions and messaging, producing creative assets in a range of formats, and planning and implementing paid media campaigns, including partnerships
  • Experience of analysing and prioritising relevant sources of data and insight to inform campaign objectives, briefings and optimisation, as well as using a range of data and methodologies to evaluate impact
  • Strong project management and prioritisation skills, with the ability to work at pace across multiple campaigns supporting communications priorities that can change at short notice. Ability to work independently and use your initiative to drive projects forward
  • Ability to collaborate with a range of internal teams and external stakeholders, with a track record of influencing others to secure buy-in to proposals
  • Experience of managing agency delivery and performance, from briefing through to performance oversight, with an understanding of how to secure value for money
  • Practical knowledge of the wider communications landscape
  • An understanding of the political landscape
