Job Summary

Own end-to-end Retail Insight event programs from planning to post-event follow-up, coordinating cross-functional teams and external partners to deliver impactful industry events.

  • Lead planning and execution of commercial events and conferences.
  • Coordinate logistics, vendors and attendee communications to ensure smooth delivery.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to capture leads and drive post-event activity.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Planning, coordinating and delivering Retail Insight's commercial events, including major industry events, conferences, client roundtables and dinners.
  • Managing end-to-end event logistics, including venues, suppliers, attendees, run-of-show planning and on-the-day delivery.
  • Managing event plans, timelines and key milestones to keep delivery on track and stakeholders informed.
  • Working directly with venues, event organisers and suppliers to manage requirements, costs and deliverables.
  • Coordinating attendee communications, including invitations, confirmations, joining information and post-event follow-up.
  • Coordinating Retail Insight's presence at external industry events, including stands, collateral, promotional materials and team logistics.
  • Tracking event budgets and costs, raising purchase orders, processing invoices and flagging any risks or overspend.
  • Coordinating marketing campaigns and activities with the Commercial team across relevant channels.
  • Managing event promotion across social media, email and other marketing channels to drive awareness and attendance.
  • Capturing activity and content from our events and turning it into engaging social, marketing and post-event communications.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in events, marketing or a similar role, with hands-on experience coordinating and delivering events.
  • Experience managing event logistics and working with multiple stakeholders, venues and suppliers.
  • Strong organisational and project coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Excellent attention to detail and pride in delivering work to a high standard.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working with external suppliers, venues or agencies and confidence managing budgets and deliverables.
  • Confidence using digital tools and social media, with an appetite to learn new platforms and systems.
  • A proactive, practical approach – you're comfortable taking ownership, solving problems and knowing when to escalate.
  • Someone who enjoys collaborating across teams while being confident independently owning their areas of delivery.

Preferred

  • Experience delivering larger-scale corporate or industry events.
  • Experience within B2B marketing.
  • Experience working with external PR or agency partners.
  • Experience using marketing, CRM, social media or event management platforms.
  • An interest in retail, grocery, data, analytics or technology.
