Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Content Strategy
  • · Develop and deliver a clear content strategy aligned to Chambers’ brand, audiences and business priorities.
  • · Own the forward content plan, identifying the themes, topics, opportunities and channels that will have the greatest impact.
  • · Identify opportunities to expand Chambers’ content into new formats, platforms and audiences, ensuring content is effectively distributed and amplified.
  • · Use audience insight and content performance to continually improve content effectiveness.
  • Content Creation & Thought Leadership
  • · Lead the creation of high-quality, insight-led content, with a particular focus on long-form thought leadership, articles, reports, opinion pieces and executive content.
  • · Write and edit compelling content that establishes Chambers as an authoritative voice and thought leader in the legal market.
  • · Translate Chambers’ research, rankings, data and expertise into clear, engaging and audience-relevant narratives.
  • · Commission and manage content with internal experts, senior spokespeople, journalists, freelancers and agency partners where appropriate.

Requirements

  • · Senior experience in content, editorial, journalism or content marketing, ideally in a B2B, professional services, publishing or research-led organisation.
  • · Exceptional writing and editorial skills, with proven experience creating long-form thought leadership and content for senior audiences.
  • · Proven ability to develop content strategy and deliver compelling content across multiple channels and formats.
  • · Experience translating complex subject matter and expert insight into clear, authoritative content, working with senior stakeholders and subject matter experts.
  • · Strong understanding of how content supports brand, audience and commercial objectives, using insight and performance data to improve effectiveness.
  • -Experience managing, developing and motivating content or marketing teams, with the ability to provide clear direction and foster high performance.
  • · Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, English, Communications, Marketing, Business or a related discipline.
  • · Strategic thinker who is equally comfortable developing the strategy and rolling up their sleeves to write and edit.
  • · Excellent editorial judgement, with a high bar for quality, originality and relevance.
  • · Curious, creative and proactive, with a willingness to experiment with new formats and ways of engaging audiences.

Preferred

  • Desirable Experience
  • · Experience developing multimedia content including podcasts, video, webinars or events.
  • · Experience using CMS, CRM and marketing automation tools.
