Job Summary

Own the content and outreach flow for a regional tourism brand by helping build destination pages, keep data fresh, and fuel SEO-friendly content across blogs, itineraries, and site copy.

  • Content & SEO: Research and write SEO-aligned content and itineraries for the destination site.
  • Website & Data Maintenance: Ensure every page and data point stays up to date on the sites.
  • Social & Events Support: Grow social presence and assist with press visits, events, and newsletters under the Marketing Manager.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • To assist in the development of destination websites for visitors.
  • To help ensure all data for the websites are up to date.
  • To research events in South Devon and update the websites on a regular basis.
  • To research content for use on the websites and where necessary write content in accordance with best SEO practices, including blog posts, itineraries and website copy.
  • To assist the Marketing Manager in their day to day role.
  • To assist in the production and distribution of consumer and business e-newsletters on a regular basis using email marketing services such as Mailchimp, Sender.net and Brevo.
  • To develop and monitor the growth of social media platforms and their interaction – namely Facebook, Instagram, TikTok & Pinterest.
  • To work on the social media content plan and to help deliver content across all our channels.
  • To assist the Marketing Manager with the arrangement of press visits and itineraries.
  • To support the Marketing Manager with the management of online market research.

Requirements

  • Marketing qualification or relevant experience.
  • Excellent writing skills and proof reading skills.
  • Good understanding of the online marketing industry.
  • Good understanding of social media and how best to use it for business and communicating with key audiences.
  • Must be a confident communicator.
  • Must be organised and able to prioritise workload effectively.
  • Must be creative.
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work alone.
  • Confident using Microsoft Office.
  • Confident using Canva.

Preferred

  • Experience and knowledge of SEO best practices.
  • Experience in managing and updating websites - using a CMS system and/or WordPress.
  • Experience in copy writing.
  • Videography/photography using a phone.
  • Video editing.
