The Opportunity:

We are looking for a Marketing Communications Assistant to join our Headquarters in Rugby. This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a small, fast-paced team where you’ll support a wide range of marketing communications activities while delivering excellent service to both internal and external stakeholders.

This is a varied and hands-on role, ideal for someone who is highly organised, proactive, and enjoys working across multiple projects. You’ll play a key role in supporting the team’s day-to-day activities, with opportunities to gradually take ownership of marketing coordination and KPI reporting as you develop in the role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Creating engaging content for social media and the company intranet, tailored to different audiences and aligned with brand guidelines
  • Designing and editing images and videos using tools such as PowerPoint, Canva, and Adobe
  • Updating company websites and intranet pages with news, content, and key information
  • Managing the communications calendar, including scheduling social media posts and campaigns
  • Coordinating social media activity across platforms
  • Managing corporate gifts, including ordering, stock monitoring, packing and distribution
  • Supporting exhibitions and external events, including display materials and post-event follow-ups
  • Assisting with Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives
  • Producing bi-annual eNewsletters
  • Liaising with external suppliers such as designers, printers, photographers, and PR agencies
  • Updating and maintaining presentation materials
  • Supporting company accreditations and registration schemes
  • Providing general support to ensure the smooth running of the Marketing Communications function

Your skills and experiences:

  • Strong written communication skills with the ability to create clear, engaging content
  • The ability to adapt your writing style for different audiences and platforms
  • A creative mindset with an eye for detail
  • A good understanding of marketing principles such as audience, tone of voice, and brand consistency
  • Confidence using digital tools and platforms (Microsoft Office, social media, email tools)
  • Experience with Canva and/or Adobe software (desirable)
  • Knowledge of social media scheduling/management platforms
  • 1–2 years’ experience in a marketing or communications role
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
  • High attention to detail, including spelling and grammar accuracy
  • Experience working in a busy office environment
  • A proactive, can-do attitude with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a customer-focused approach
  • A willingness to learn and develop new skills
