Job Summary

Own the creator led growth for UK trades audience by building a roster of small to mid tier creators, negotiating terms, tracking conversions, and scaling the referral program.

  • Manage creator partnerships and budgets
  • Drive sign-ups, subscriptions and retention metrics
  • Align messaging and ensure CIS compliance

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Build the roster. Find, pitch and sign UK trade creators and micro-influencers — bricklayers, sparks, plumbers, plasterers, groundworkers, tool reviewers, site vloggers, trade podcasters — across YouTube, TikTok, Instagram and Facebook trade groups. Target: [100+] active partners in year one, weighted toward mid- and micro-tier where trust is highest.
  • Own the commercials. Negotiate flat fee, affiliate/revenue-share or hybrid deals. Manage the creator budget line and defend it with numbers.
  • Run the referral mechanics end to end. A unique code or link per creator, tracked through to verified sign-up and first paid subscription, with monthly payout reconciliation agreed with Finance.
  • Own the numbers. Cost per verified sign-up, cost per paying subscriber, code activation rate, 90-day retention of creator-sourced users. Weekly reporting, and the discipline to kill what isn't working.
  • Write the brief, not the script. Give creators the message and the proof points, then let them say it in their own words. Reject anything that sounds like a corporate ad — this audience can smell it instantly.
  • Keep it clean. Every partnership disclosed to ASA CAP Code standards. Every claim about tax, money back or HMRC signed off by our compliance lead before it goes live. We do not promise numbers we can't stand behind.
  • Extend creators offline. Trade shows, builders' merchant activations, site visits and our own events — turn a creator's audience into a room of people actually downloading the app.
  • Feed the rest of the business. Report back the objections, language and misconceptions about CIS you hear in comments and DMs — Product and Sales need it.

Requirements

  • 2+ years running influencer or creator campaigns with commercial accountability — you've held a budget and been measured on conversions, not reach.
  • Hands-on experience with affiliate/referral tracking and creator payouts (platform-agnostic — we care that you've done the plumbing yourself).
  • Experience marketing to trades, industrial, automotive, tools or a comparable non-office audience — you can talk to a self-employed tradesperson without sounding like head office.
  • Based in the UK with the right to work in the UK, and willing to travel for events.
  • Comfortable in a written-first, async company: clear written English and self-directed work.

Preferred

  • Existing relationships with UK trade creators, trade media networks or builders' merchants.
  • Worked on a product where the customer's own money is at stake — fintech, accounting, payroll, insurance.
  • Experience scaling a referral programme (Monobank / Revolut-style mechanics).
  • Any exposure to CIS, self-assessment or construction payroll.

Benefits

  • Fully remote, async-first. Daily stand-up at 06:30 London, weekly written update on Fridays — no time-tracking, no micromanagement of your day.
  • Your own creator budget and direct access to the CEO and founders.
  • Tools funded and set up from day one: Asana, Confluence, Slack, Microsoft 365, Claude AI.
  • A category nobody has cracked yet. There is no incumbent doing creator marketing properly in UK CIS compliance — the playbook is yours to write.
