Job Description

Responsibilities

  • As Oxfam's Head of Earned, Shared and Paid Digital, you will work collaboratively across teams to shape the strategic direction for how Oxfam earns attention, engages audiences, and grows its reach across organic social, paid digital and channels beyond our own.
  • Together, you'll ensure that this engagement translates into income, influence and long-term support for our mission.
  • You will lead and empower our organic social and paid digital teams, holding oversight of day-to-day activity while focusing on elevating and optimising our channel, platform, targeting and digital marketing strategies.
  • You will support your teams to deliver brilliantly by setting a clear creative direction, providing strong editorial and brand stewardship, and embedding a data-led approach to performance and learning.
  • You'll create the space, confidence and connections that enable teams to think beyond individual channels and deliver integrated, audience-focused work.
  • Working closely with the Head of Digital and Head of Owned Digital, you will help shape Oxfam's wider digital strategy and strengthen our impact across the organisation.
  • By building strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders, you will bring audience insight into campaigning, fundraising and public engagement activity, ensuring digital expertise informs decision-making and positioning the team as a trusted strategic partner.

Requirements

  • Experience of managing a multi-disciplinary team and the performance of others
  • Lived experience (s) or evidence of learning/taking action on anti-racism and inequalities.
  • Strong knowledge of digital platforms, marketing technologies and industry trends.
  • A proven track record of growing income, influence and audience engagement through digital channels, ideally within the charity, campaigning or wider social impact sector.
  • Proven experience of crisis and reputation management within digital channels.
  • Proven success in developing audience-led digital strategies and integrated campaigns across earned, shared and paid channels that deliver measurable impact.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, experienced in proactive collaboration across organisations.
  • Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to engage, inspire and influence a wide range of audiences.
  • A strong commitment to Oxfam's values.
