Job Summary

Own the end-to-end event marketing machine from strategy to revenue, balancing audience development, partnerships, and live and digital campaigns to drive registrations and attendee income.

  • Marketing strategy and campaigns: set positioning, messages and cross-channel programs to hit revenue targets.
  • Creative and materials: own the design process and ensure assets align with the conference program and strategy.
  • Audience, partnerships, and community: lead audience development, sponsor collaborations, and social/community programs to boost engagement and attendance.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • develop and implement marketing strategy, positioning, key messages and product strategy.
  • Execute the marketing campaign(s) and report on effectiveness and results, ensuring all elements achieve required performance criteria.
  • Driving the creative/design process for marketing materials. This includes the update and development of existing materials plus the creation of new materials in line with the marketing strategy.
  • Work with the sales team to create sales campaigns focused on both new client growth and increased client retention. This includes messaging to drive revenue across all products, such as digital, sponsorships, and future revenue opportunities.
  • Develop strategic audience development plans and ensure marketing communications accurately reflect event positioning and key messaging. Be the lead in messaging and writing regarding our outbound reach to our customers.
  • Collaborate with partners and sponsors to develop integrated marketing campaigns, lead generation strategies and compelling materials for all revenue streams across live and digital products.
  • Collaborate with the Content Team to integrate the conference programme into marketing plans to maximise visitor acquisition.
  • Oversee and execute community-building and social media strategies that drive engagement, interaction, and brand affinity and could improve the audience experience.
  • Manage all planning and execution of the registration process for visitors.
  • Database management, list management, and development with the support of business intelligence and data teams.

Requirements

  • Irreproachable written and verbal communication skills in both French and English.
  • Ability to understand and execute marketing plans, bringing creative input and ensuring alignment with the overall strategy.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver them on time and on budget.
  • Strong skills across key systems and tools - including CRM and CMS platforms, social media tools, email marketing and marketing automation software like HubSpot.
  • Experience working with the fundamentals of digital marketing and being able to apply digital principles to campaigns effectively.

Preferred

  • Experience in marketing events is not a prerequisite, but the candidate must demonstrate extensive project management experience.
