Job Summary

Own Napthents’ external communications by unifying media relations, partnerships, thought leadership, and brand storytelling to shape a proactive, high-visibility narrative; turn legal expertise into compelling stories and elevate the firm through podcasts, awards, and strategic collaborations.

  • Build relationships with journalists, editors, and industry influencers to secure coverage and speaking opportunities.
  • Craft press releases, commentary, thought leadership, and podcast content that highlights legal expertise and firm strengths.
  • Identify moments for experts to shape the conversation, activate partnerships, and measure impact to broaden reach.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • You’ll own and deliver Napthents’ external communications strategy — bringing together media relations, partnerships, thought leadership and brand storytelling into one cohesive voice.
  • Shape and deliver a proactive media strategy that gets Napthens noticed for the right reasons.
  • Build strong relationships with journalists, editors, and industry influencers.
  • Craft compelling press releases, commentary and thought leadership.
  • Spot the moments where our experts should be front and centre in the conversation.
  • Take our podcast from concept to conversation — planning, producing, and promoting engaging content.
  • Turn legal expertise into stories people want to hear.
  • Collaborate across the firm to spotlight the voices that matter.
  • Bring partnerships to life — from idea through to activation.
  • Identify opportunities that strengthen our brand and broaden our reach.

Requirements

  • Experience in external communications and media relations (ideally in professional services or a regulated environment)
  • A talent for turning complex ideas into clear, engaging content
  • Confidence working with senior stakeholders and subject matter experts
  • Strong organisation and the ability to juggle multiple priorities
  • A natural curiosity — always looking for the next angle, the next story, the next opportunity
