Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive SEO strategies tailored specifically for e-commerce platforms to increase organic search traffic and sales.
  • Optimize product listings, metadata, images, and content to enhance search engine rankings and user engagement.
  • Manage and update the Shopify store, ensuring seamless functionality, user experience, and visual appeal.
  • Conduct regular website audits using tools like Google Search Console, Google Analytics, and Google Tag Manager to identify areas for improvement.
  • Improve website performance by editing HTML, CSS, and JavaScript code to enhance site speed and responsiveness across devices.
  • Manage content updates through content management systems (CMS), ensuring consistency in branding and messaging across all pages.
  • Track SEO performance metrics, analyse data trends, and prepare reports to inform ongoing optimisation efforts.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to align SEO initiatives with broader digital campaigns and content strategies.

Requirements

  • Proven experience working with Shopify or other e-commerce platforms with a focus on SEO optimization.
  • Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and website coding best practices for technical SEO enhancements.
  • Hands-on experience using Google Search Console, Google Analytics, and Google Tag Manager for data analysis and site tracking.
  • Solid understanding of metadata creation, keyword research, on-page SEO tactics, and SEO tools.
  • Experience managing social media platforms and integrating social media strategies into overall marketing efforts.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot website issues quickly and efficiently.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams in a fast-moving environment.

Preferred

  • Familiarity with content management systems (WordPress or similar) is preferred.
