Job Summary

Own social content and community engagement for an audience-focused nonprofit, aligning organic growth with inclusive storytelling and simple email/paid-leverage support.

  • Growth Infrastructure: Plan, publish, and manage social channels and community interactions to boost organic reach.
  • Content Engine: Create reels, videos, graphics, and posts that resonate with diverse audiences while upholding inclusion commitments.
  • Marketing Ops & Measurement: Support Mailchimp email campaigns and assist paid activity; analyze performance with Sprout Social and Google Analytics to drive improvements.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Lead the day-to-day management of social media channels, including planning, scheduling and publishing content via Sprout Social
  • Create engaging, high-quality content (reels, videos, graphics, posts) that resonates with our audiences
  • Manage community engagement, responding to comments and interacting with supporters
  • Ensure all content reflects our commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion
  • Assist with email marketing campaigns using Mailchimp (including set-up, segmentation and testing)
  • Support the setup and optimisation of paid campaigns across Google Ads and Meta Ads Manager
  • Analyse performance using tools such as Sprout Social and Google Analytics, and make recommendations for improvement
  • Identify opportunities to expand reach and engagement through both organic and paid activity

Requirements

  • Experience managing social media channels for an organisation, with a strong focus on organic content and community management
  • Experience / knowledge in one of the three channels (email, paid social or paid search)
  • Experience using a scheduling/listening tool such as Sprout Social
  • Excellent copywriting, editing and proofreading skills with strong attention to detail
  • Content creation skills, including Canva and video content for social platforms
  • Strong organisational and project management skills
  • Ability to communicate digital marketing concepts clearly to non-specialists
  • Awareness of social media trends and emerging platforms
