Job Description

Responsibilities

Writes high-quality, SEO-optimized copy for consumers shopping Product Description Pages on various online retail platforms
Conducts keyword research and optimizes product titles, bullet points or key features, product descriptions, and back-end metadata with relevant, highly ranked keywords
Writes creative and descriptive copy for image tiles, below-the-fold enhanced content, retailer brand stores, sponsored ads, and additional digital content
Creates compelling headlines and engaging body copy that capture the target audience's attention while staying true to brand, regulatory, and retailer requirements
Adapts tone of voice and word choice to appropriately tailor the message for variances in platforms, audiences, and brands
Juggles multiple projects at once, managing time and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Journalism or related field
6+ years progressive Communications, Journalism experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Occasional travel either locally, nationally, and/or internationally may be required.
High degree of proficiency in MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications.
Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management (from conception to completion), & planning skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, & reasoning).
Solid understanding and application of mathematical concepts.
Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, as well as, internal and external clients.
Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
Ability to work with and influence peers and management.
Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting.
Proven experience with SEO and/or production description copywriting is a plus!
