Job Summary

Own the in-house content production for Sunderland AFC, leading a creative team to deliver matchday and global supporter storytelling across all platforms.

  • Own production scheduling and cross‑team coordination with Marketing, Communications, and Commercial to meet content needs.
  • Lead the Video Producers, Editors, and Photographers, shaping creative direction while maintaining high standards.
  • Drive on-site matchday production at Stadium of Light with weekend/evening availability to engage supporters worldwide.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the club’s in-house visual content and manage a team of Video Producers, Editors, and Photographers to create high-quality content for all platforms
  • Guide filming, editing, photography, and post-production work to match brand and engage supporters
  • Plan production schedules and coordinate with Marketing, Communications, and Commercial to meet content needs
  • Support and develop the production team and lead creatively while managing a team effectively
  • Work mainly at the Stadium of Light and be required to work on matchdays, including evenings and weekends
  • Shape how Sunderland AFC connects with supporters around the world through content

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience creating compelling content within football, sport, or entertainment
  • Proven track record leading creative teams, inspiring high standards, and developing individuals
  • Expertise in filming, editing, lighting, and audio, with advanced skills in Adobe Premiere Pro and the Adobe Creative Suite
  • Experience creating engaging social media clips, campaigns, documentaries, and live event coverage
  • Strong understanding of camera systems, lighting, and studio setups; storytelling that captures audiences and trends across platforms
  • Strong organisational skills, ability to juggle multiple projects, and excellent communication
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and matchdays
  • Required to obtain an Enhanced DBS through SAFC
  • Location: full-time on-site based at the Stadium of Light and Academy of Light; right to work in the UK (visa sponsorship not provided)
