Job Summary

Own strategic communications and media relations for health and social impact work, with end-to-end project and event ownership that connects communities, government, and corporate stakeholders.

  • Strategic Communications: advise on key initiatives and translate complex policy issues into accessible narratives for varied audiences.
  • Media Relations: build journalist relationships, craft releases, and pitch stories to national and specialist outlets.
  • Projects & Events: own scopes, timelines, and delivery, including end-to-end event planning and on-the-day execution.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Strategic communications & leadership: provide advisory input across projects and translate health, policy and social impact topics into accessible narratives for diverse audiences.
  • Media relations: build proactive journalist relationships, draft press releases, and pitch stories to national, trade and specialist outlets including health and social affairs.
  • Project and event management: own projects, define scopes, timelines and success metrics, lead planning and check-ins, and manage end-to-end event logistics and on-the-day execution.
  • Client reporting: guarantee timely, high-quality reporting and adapt scope or timelines based on changing needs.
  • Content production support: assist with community engagement, shoots, content production logistics, contributor support, and on-the-day management.
  • Stakeholder coordination: navigate corporate, community and public sector stakeholders and support brand positioning and reputation management.
  • Issues management (optional): bring experience in handling sensitive topics and media narratives when needed.
  • Team collaboration: work with team members to coordinate and facilitate projects and maintain strong internal communication.
  • Speaker and event facilitation: lead on speaker prep and attendee engagement for successful events.
  • Workflow optimization: assess workflows and identify efficiency opportunities to improve delivery.
