Own the end-to-end proposition development for Trainline's New Business area, synthesising input from UX Research, Data Science and Brand Insights to shape market-ready propositions; lead research briefs, define success metrics, and collaborate with Product, UX and Engineering to prioritise and launch, while aligning with Country Managers and Brand Teams across markets.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Take an insight and data led approach to proposition development, synthesising input from UX Research, Data Science and Brand Insight to build a clear picture of our customer segments
  • Lead the briefing of new research and insight, working closely with the Head of Brand Insights, and keep a close eye on the external market and competitor landscape to spot opportunities
  • Apply behavioural science thinking to shape and test hypotheses that sharpen our propositions
  • Be the voice of the brand and the customer within the New Business area, where Trainline aims to enter new product verticals and disrupt new markets, informing how we best define, communicate and launch new propositions in line with our wider consumer offering and comms platforms
  • Partner with Country Managers and local specialist teams to understand market and customer challenges and shape competitive, compelling solutions
  • Work closely with Product, UX and Engineering to develop and test propositions, helping prioritise the roadmap against business goals and customer needs
  • Collaborate with Senior Brand Managers, Creative Studio and Growth teams to set guidelines for how propositions are executed in market, communicating clearly to build buy-in across the organisation
  • Define success metrics for each proposition, track its product and marketing impact, and report results back to senior stakeholders

Requirements

  • Experience working in a tech and/or consumer-oriented industry, comfortable with a fast-paced business
  • A track record of leading projects end to end and getting the right stakeholders involved to keep things moving
  • A curious, analytical mindset, with confidence developing hypotheses, briefing research and using data and insight to guide decisions
  • Comfort managing and communicating with senior stakeholders, including Execs
  • Naturally organised, with experience managing multiple propositions from development through to delivery
  • Strong familiarity with both brand and business performance KPIs
  • Experience working within or alongside product marketing teams

Preferred

  • It's helpful if you have exposure to AI tools and/or have experience across international European markets, though none of these are dealbreakers
