Responsibilities

• Building positive relationships with clients alongside gaining a strong venue knowledge.
• Dealing with client enquiries via phone, website and email.
• Responding to enquiries and sending quotes to clients in a timely and professional manner.
• Supporting the wider team with their enquiries where required.
• Speaking with venues to check availability, hold dates and obtain costs.
• Arranging site visits for prospective clients.
• Progressing enquiries and helping convert opportunities into confirmed bookings.
• Reporting on daily and weekly enquiries and bookings to your line manager.
• Working towards an agreed annual sales target.
• Raising commission invoices for venues and following up outstanding payments (training will be provided).

Requirements

• - A self-motivated attitude and the confidence to be proactive.
• - An intuitive sales personality and the ability to build rapport with clients and venues.
• - An interest in marketing, sales and social media .
• - Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• - Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills.
• - The ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
• - Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• - A positive, can-do attitude and a desire to make your mark within a small business.
• - A willingness to learn and develop your knowledge of the venue and events industry.
• - No previous event or venue experience is necessary.

Preferred

• An educational background or experience in marketing would be valuable.
