Job Summary

You will own the end-to-end creation and management of digital content and campaigns, from storytelling and social engagement to monitoring performance and coordinating across channels.

Lead organic social media and community engagement; develop content for campaigns and channels.
Use audience insight and performance data to improve content and reach.

Job Description

Responsibilities

Create distinctive digital content: Create engaging written, photographic, video and simple graphic content for social media, email, website and marketing campaigns.
Find the stories, people, moments and behind-the-scenes details that make Compton Verney interesting, and turn them into content worth sharing.
Adapt ideas for different audiences, platforms and formats while maintaining our voice, brand and accessibility standards.
Lead social media and community engagement: Lead a lively, relevant and well-planned organic social media presence, balancing planned campaigns with timely opportunities and fresh ideas.
Stay close to changing platforms, online culture and emerging formats, using trends when they genuinely add something rather than simply because they are popular.
Manage routine comments, messages and enquiries professionally, recognising when sensitive, complex or reputational issues need to be escalated.
Deliver digital marketing and campaigns: Turn campaign briefs into effective, audience-focused marketing across social media, email, website and other digital channels, with clear messages, objectives and calls to action.
Build and send an agreed portfolio of marketing emails, including writing and editing copy, sourcing content, testing and scheduling.
Create, update and adapt website content to support campaigns, programme information and audience journeys.
Create and adapt content for paid digital campaigns, working with the Marketing and Communications Manager and external specialists where required.

Requirements

Relevant experience creating digital content, managing social media or delivering digital marketing in a professional setting.
Strong written and visual storytelling skills, including experience creating social content such as photography, short-form video or simple graphics.
Experience creating or delivering content across more than one digital marketing channel, such as social media, email or websites.
The ability to adapt ideas, tone and format for different audiences, platforms and objectives.
Experience planning content or campaigns and managing several priorities and deadlines.
An understanding of how audience insight and performance data can improve digital marketing.
An understanding of how paid digital activity can support wider campaigns, with experience creating content for paid channels or an interest in developing this area.
A practical understanding of accessible digital content, copyright, permissions and responsible use of personal data.
Confidence using content creation and digital marketing tools, with the ability to learn unfamiliar platforms quickly.
