Job Summary

Own and optimize the full video production lifecycle from strategy to publishing with a data driven mindset that ties retention, cross‑platform repurposing, and continuous iteration into scalable processes.

  • Own YouTube and other video channels end-to-end, defining strategy and growth.
  • Build and manage networks of presenters and editors across markets.
  • Iterate content through data, retention metrics, and experiments to improve performance.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Own the full video production pipeline: strategy, scripting, production coordination, publishing, and optimisation.
  • Write scripts purpose-built for video. Paced for retention, structured for spoken delivery, not blog posts reformatted.
  • Manage a network of freelance presenters across different markets. Brief them, review their output, give feedback, and keep timelines on track.
  • Manage external video editors. You don't need to edit everything yourself, ideally you have skills to do the work fast if needed, but you need to brief well, judge quality, and unblock yourself for quick-turnaround content when needed.
  • Think in systems, not individual uploads. One shoot should produce multiple outputs: a YouTube video, TikTok clips, social cuts, ad creative, product demos.
  • Own YouTube and other video channels end-to-end. Define the content strategy, publish consistently, and grow both channels.
  • Explore and own new video formats: webinars (production side), product demos, long-form to short-form repurposing, video ads.
  • Own video SEO across platforms: titles, thumbnails, descriptions, tags. Know what stops a scroll and what drives a click.
  • Use YouTube Studio and analytics to make decisions, not just to report. Understand what CTR means for your thumbnails, how watch time affects recommendations, and when to kill a format vs double down. You are obsessed with data.
  • Iterate based on data. Test hooks, intros, segment lengths. Look at retention curves to see where viewers drop off and adjust scripts accordingly.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in video production or video marketing, with a focus on educational or technical content.
  • You can point to a video channel you grew or contributed to growing, with specific numbers. Not "I managed uploads." Show the growth and your role in it.
  • You write scripts. Purpose-built for video, driven by retention data, structured for spoken delivery.
  • Video producer mindset: you think about maximising the value of every piece of video across channels, not just making individual YouTube uploads.
  • Experience managing freelancers remotely: presenters, editors, or both. You know how to brief, review, and keep things moving across time zones.
  • Data-driven on platform analytics. You can diagnose why a video got impressions but low CTR, or good CTR but low watch time, and you know what to change.
  • Visual eye for thumbnails, pacing, and editing quality. You don't need to be an editor, but you need to know what good looks like and brief it clearly.
  • Comfortable operating autonomously in a remote, async environment. You set your own calendar, decide what to produce, and come with results and plans, not questions.
  • Native or near-native English. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. You can explain complex concepts clearly and communicate smoothly with a global team.

Preferred

  • Editing skills: being able to self-edit for quick-turnaround content is a real advantage
  • Experience producing video or experience in crypto, fintech, or a technical space
  • Experience with video ads and performance creative
  • Has managed localised presenters for different markets

Benefits

  • Perks: 32 days PTO, 100% Async culture, flexible schedule, and true autonomy.
