Job Summary

Own and grow strategic talent engagement for the BFI across fundraising, advocacy and partnerships, delivering PR campaigns, stewarding the Ambassador programme, and coordinating talent activity at major events.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Build and nurture relationships with high-profile talent, industry representatives and key stakeholders in the UK and internationally to support the BFI's fundraising, advocacy and strategic objectives.
  • Develop and deliver PR and engagement strategies that increase awareness of BFI fundraising campaigns, philanthropic initiatives and corporate partnership activity.
  • Lead the growth and stewardship of the BFI Ambassador programme, creating meaningful opportunities for ambassadors to champion the BFI's mission and support fundraising efforts.
  • Plan and deliver talent-focused activity around major BFI events and initiatives, including the BFI Fellowship, BFI America programmes and the annual British Film Reception in Los Angeles.
  • Collaborate across the organisation to align talent engagement with wider business priorities, ensuring effective relationship management, stakeholder communication and long-term advocacy for the BFI.

Requirements

  • Significant experience working with high-profile talent, agents, publicists or stakeholders within film, television, the arts or a related cultural environment.
  • Strong relationship-building skills, with the ability to establish trust, influence key stakeholders and create long-term engagement opportunities.
  • Proven experience delivering successful campaigns, events or communications activity involving talent, VIPs or high-profile audiences.
  • Excellent organisational, project management and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet challenging deadlines.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, combined with sound judgement, discretion and a genuine passion for film, culture and the creative industries.
