You'll play a key role in leading and delivering outstanding teaching, supporting learners to develop the knowledge, skills and confidence needed for successful careers across the health, care and early years sectors.

The Role

As Study Programme Lead, you will be responsible for the effective delivery, coordination, and development of Health, Social Care, and Early Years programmes while also teaching across relevant courses.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leading the planning, delivery, and quality assurance in Health, Social Care, and Early Years programmes.
• Teaching engaging and inclusive lessons across Health, Social Care, and Early Years programmes.
• Supporting learners through practical training, work placements, and professional development.
• Embedding safeguarding, equality, and inclusive practice into all aspects of delivery.
• Providing tutorial and pastoral support to learners.
• Monitoring learner progress and supporting achievement and progression.
• Contributing to curriculum development and continuous improvement.
• Working closely with employers, colleagues, and external partners to enhance learner outcomes.

Essential Criteria:

• Passion for Health, Social Care, or Early Years education.
• Degree‑level qualification or equivalent in a relevant subject.
• Qualified Teacher Status, or willingness to work towards a teaching qualification.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
• Level 2 (or equivalent) qualifications in literacy and numeracy.
• Experience teaching Health, Social Care, and Early Years or a related curriculum area.
• Excellent teaching and classroom management skills.
• Ability to engage and support diverse learner groups.

Desirable Criteria:

• Assessor and/or Verifier qualification.
• Experience teaching within a post‑16 or Further Education setting.
• Strong links with health, social care, or early years employers.
