Job Summary

Own social media and public relations for brand presence, driving engagement and cross-functional campaigns across platforms; tie content to events and launches, and track performance.

  • Social Strategy & Content Execution: Develop and execute social programs across platforms, align with campaigns and events.
  • Community & Reputation: Monitor channels, respond, manage PR activity with media and influencers.
  • Analytics & Cross-Functional Collaboration: Track KPIs, optimize content, coordinate with marketing, product, and events.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive social media strategies aligned with organisational goals.
  • Visit sites, cafes, bars and interview traders.
  • Create, curate, and schedule engaging content across various platforms including Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and TikTok.
  • Monitor social media channels for comments, messages, and interactions; respond promptly to foster community engagement.
  • Analyse performance metrics to optimise content effectiveness and increase reach.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure consistent brand messaging and visual identity.
  • Manage public relations activities to enhance organisational reputation and build positive relationships with media outlets and influencers.
  • Stay updated on the latest trends in social media management and digital marketing to keep content fresh and innovative.
  • Organise campaigns around special events or product launches to maximise audience engagement.

Requirements

  • MUST BE COMFORTABLE ON CAMERA
  • Proven experience in social media management and content creation within a professional setting.
  • Strong understanding of public relations principles and best practices.
  • Excellent written communication skills with the ability to craft compelling narratives tailored to different audiences.
  • Proficiency in graphic design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) or video editing software is desirable.
  • Organised with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  • Knowledge of analytics tools such as Google Analytics or platform-specific insights to track performance metrics.
  • Creative thinker with a proactive attitude towards innovation in digital storytelling.
  • A recognised qualification in marketing, communications, or related fields is advantageous but not essential.
  • Best fit for someone with 3 to 5 years in social media management or a similar role.
