Job Description

Responsibilities

  • 1. Strategy, Leadership and Management • Develop and deliver the annual marketing strategy, marketing calendar and channel plans across B2B and B2C activity. • Set priorities and direction for the marketing and e-commerce function, ensuring activity is aligned with company goals and commercial objectives. • Manage the annual marketing budget, including campaign spend, paid media allocation and return on investment. • Line manage the Marketing Executive, including workload planning, 1-1s, performance support, development and recruitment support where required. • Prepare marketing performance reports, market insight and recommendations for senior leadership. • Work closely with sales, customer service, production and other internal teams to support customer journeys, campaign delivery and business growth.
  • 2. Email, CRM and Customer Journeys • Own and manage the email marketing calendar across B2C, B2B, retail, trade and corporate gifting communications. • Create, deliver and optimise email campaigns, ensuring content is engaging, targeted and commercially effective. • Develop CRM strategy, customer segmentation, audience planning and customer journey improvements. • Analyse email and CRM performance metrics and use insight to improve engagement, conversion and retention.
  • 3. Social Media, Content and Brand • Own the social media calendar and develop annual, seasonal and campaign-specific social media strategies. • Plan, create, edit and schedule content across social media, website, email and other marketing channels. • Manage community engagement, audience growth, user-generated content and influencer partnerships. • Act as a brand guardian across all customer touchpoints, ensuring consistency of tone, message, imagery and design. • Identify PR, awards, sponsorship, charity and partnership opportunities that support brand awareness and commercial growth.
  • 4. E-commerce, Website and Product Marketing • Own website content, merchandising and customer experience, including landing pages, banners, imagery and product content. • Support new product development, product launches, seasonal ranges and e-commerce product planning in collaboration with production and wider teams. • Manage marketing requirements for website developments, Odoo implementation activity and ongoing website optimisation. • Monitor website performance, conversion rates and customer behaviour to identify opportunities for improvement. • Manage third-party sales and voucher partners, including Buyagift, Virgin Experience Days, Groupon and other relevant channels.
  • 5. Paid Media and Campaign Delivery • Plan, launch, manage and optimise paid media campaigns across Google Ads, Meta, TikTok and other relevant platforms. • Develop creative briefs, campaign copy, audience targeting, testing plans and performance updates. • Monitor budgets, ROAS, conversion performance and campaign effectiveness, making recommendations for improvement. • Lead campaign planning for key seasonal events including Christmas, Father’s Day, Easter, Halloween and other commercial opportunities.
  • 6. B2B Marketing, Sales Support and Partnerships • Develop and execute the B2B marketing strategy, including LinkedIn activity, B2B website content, trade communications and sales enablement materials. • Create and maintain digital and printed brochures, presentations, marketing collateral and customer-facing resources. • Support client acquisition, retention and relationship-building activity through targeted marketing campaigns and materials. • Manage client branding requirements, packaging support, bespoke projects, hospitality partnerships and venue marketing opportunities.
  • 7. Analytics, Reporting and Commercial Performance • Analyse sales, campaign, channel and customer data to identify trends, insights and growth opportunities. • Monitor marketing KPIs, ROI and wider commercial performance across B2B and B2C activity. • Use analytics and reporting tools to support decision-making, forecasting and seasonal planning. • Prepare clear performance updates and recommendations for senior management.
  • 8. Creative, Design and Supplier Management • Manage printed marketing materials including leaflets, flyers, point-of-sale materials, stickers, brochures and packaging support. • Provide creative direction for photography, videography, content and design projects. • Create, brief, review and approve marketing assets in line with brand standards. • Collaborate with external suppliers, agencies and internal stakeholders to deliver high-quality marketing outputs.

Requirements

  • 2–4 years’ experience in a marketing role, ideally with exposure to e-commerce, product marketing, digital marketing and campaign delivery.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing channels, including email, CRM, social media, paid advertising, e-commerce and website management.
  • Excellent copywriting, content creation and communication skills, with the ability to adapt messages for different audiences.
  • Strong project management, organisational and time management skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple campaigns and priorities at once.
  • Analytical and commercially minded, with the ability to interpret data, report clearly and turn insight into action.
  • Confident using Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint, and comfortable working with marketing analytics, CRM and e-commerce platforms.
  • Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Preferred

  • Degree or relevant qualification in Marketing, Business, Media or a related subject would be advantageous.
  • Experience within food and beverage would be advantageous but is not essential.
  • Previous people management experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
