Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Working as part of our Marketing Team, you'll provide support across a wide range of marketing activity, with a particular focus on helping us deliver our annual programme of events.
  • This is a hands-on role, so you'll be involved in the practical delivery of marketing activity as well as the planning and administration behind it.
  • Events: Supporting the planning and delivery of our annual programme of events.
  • Helping to develop and improve our events calendar.
  • Supporting event administration, planning schedules, checklists and supplier information.
  • Liaising with suppliers, vendors, internal departments and external partners.
  • Supporting the promotion of events across our marketing channels.
  • Helping with event set-up and on-the-day coordination.
  • Supporting the team in gathering feedback and information to understand how events have performed and how they could be improved.
  • Digital Marketing: You'll also gain experience across our digital marketing activity, including: Supporting our Senior Digital Marketing Coordinator with social media content for platforms including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn and YouTube.

Requirements

  • Some experience in marketing, events, communications, administration, customer service or a similar environment.
  • An interest in developing a career in marketing and events.
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Confidence using computers and standard office software.
  • An interest in digital marketing and social media.
  • A friendly and approachable manner.
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to get involved and learn.
  • The ability to work well as part of a team.

Preferred

  • Experience within a visitor attraction, charity, events, tourism, hospitality or similar environment would be advantageous, as would an interest in wildlife, conservation and education.
