Own the go-to-market and community-building spine for indie game releases, coordinating launches, messaging, and early player engagement to turn initial interest into lasting fan relationships.

  • Launch orchestration: plan and run game launches, coordinate timelines, and create clear communications that set expectations and trust.
  • Community momentum: shape tone, support events, and turn early players into long-term fans through active engagement and creator-friendly storytelling.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Plan and run game launches
  • Shape positioning and messaging for different projects
  • Coordinate release timelines and communications plans
  • Track outcomes (wishlist activity, installs, engagement)
  • Self-publishing & platforms: support store pages, trailers, demos, and devlogs
  • Help creators navigate Steam and other platforms
  • Build momentum before launch and sustain it after
  • Community: build and manage player communities (Discord, socials, playtests)
  • Shape tone and culture around each project
  • Turn early players into long-term fans

Requirements

  • Has worked on at least one game release
  • Understands self-publishing and indie realities
  • Knows how player communities work
  • Has real marketing experience
  • Is comfortable working with early-stage teams
  • Has experience organizing community events (online or offline)
  • Communicates clearly in English
