  • Develop engaging campaigns and write clear copy for delivering against strategic objectives.
  • Coordinate content across digital and print formats, including commissioning others and ensuring consistency.
  • Write bids and submissions for sustainability league tables and accolades using visual data where needed.

Responsibilities

  • As Marketing and Communications Officer, you will join a team of marketing, communications and recruitment professionals tasked with ensuring that Lancaster’s brand and messages resonate with our community and stakeholders.
  • Reporting directly to the Brand Marketing Manager, you will lead on developing our sustainability messaging and campaigns, developing our brand narrative in this area and working to evidence our commitment to sustainability in all that we do.
  • You will have excellent written and digital communication skills, with demonstrable experience of delivering effective marketing and communications campaigns that meet strategic objectives.
  • You will be required to create engaging content in digital and print formats for differing channels, including commissioning and overseeing others to produce content and the ability to write clear and concise copy.
  • You will also be required to make written bids and submissions for our sustainability league tables and accolades – this will require writing compelling submissions and presenting statistical information in a written format using a range of data visualisation tools.

Requirements

  • an experienced marketing & communication professional
  • demonstrable experience of delivering effective marketing and communications campaigns that meet strategic objectives
