Job Summary

Own social and community rhythms for an indie game studio with tight asset constraints, balancing daily posts, Discord moderation, and lightweight email outreach for players.

Social and Community Cadence: Manage multi-platform publishing, quick edits of assets, and weekly engagement reporting.
Community Enablement: Moderate Discord, welcome newcomers, drive discussions, and gather player feedback for the dev team.
Content & Email Support: Prepare assets for announcements, maintain brand voice, and draft timely emails around updates and events.

Job Description

Responsibilities

Social Media Management: Schedule and publish content across X (Twitter), TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and other social platforms; Edit short-form posts using existing assets; Assist in creating simple image and video content for daily posts; Monitor comments and direct messages and report weekly engagement.
Community Management: Moderate and maintain the Discord community; Welcome new members and encourage discussions; Answer common player questions and organize community events, giveaways, and announcements; Collect player feedback for the development team.
Content Support: Prepare marketing assets for announcements and campaigns; Maintain brand voice consistency; Help with day-to-day marketing and community tasks.
Email Marketing: Draft 1–2 marketing emails per week based on game updates and events.

Requirements

Strong written English communication skills.
Passion for video games and gaming communities.
Familiar with X, TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and Discord.
Organized, reliable, and able to manage recurring tasks independently.
Basic experience with image or video editing tools such as Canva, CapCut, or similar.
Comfortable working remotely and communicating with an international team.
Ability to consistently meet deadlines and follow content calendars.
Willingness to learn studio-specific processes and brand voice.
Attention to detail in asset prep and community responses.

Preferred

Previous experience managing social media accounts or Discord communities.
Experience creating short-form video content.
Familiarity with indie games, roguelikes, monster-taming games, or RPGs.
Experience using social media scheduling tools.
Knowledge of Steam, Kickstarter, or game marketing is a plus.
Comfort with remote collaboration and time-zone coordination.
