Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a clear communications channels strategy ensuring that all audiences are defined and that channels are maximised for the optimal outcome
  • Increase reach by identifying and targeting new and existing audiences and growing brand awareness, strength and perception
  • Oversight and responsibility for all FNF official social media channels and content management, including supporting the Communications & Marketing Officer with posting and content creation
  • Lead on managing and maintaining FNF's website, ensuring it is up-to-date, user-friendly, and aligned with branding and messaging guidelines
  • Develop and oversee multi-channel digital marketing and stakeholder engagement campaigns and projects, working closely with colleagues across the organisation
  • Oversee the writing and delivery of promotional materials and publications including newsletters to key stakeholders, as well as impact and annual reports
  • Lead on media opportunities and relationship management with the press, proactively seeking new PR opportunities and preparing and disseminating press releases
  • Oversee a continuous record of Florence Nightingale Foundation media and social media activity
  • Ensure consistency across FNF brand and all communications; helping to cement the Foundation as the 'go to' organisation for the nursing and midwifery professions
  • Support fundraising team by leading on key donor stakeholder communications

Requirements

  • Previous communications and marketing experience with responsibility for leading strategy and content planning and delivery
  • Experience of, or demonstrable evidence of the capacity to, manage a small team
  • Demonstrable experience of using digital channels, analytics and audience insight to plan, deliver and improve communications and marketing activity
  • Experience using email, web content, CMS, CRM tools and creative software to produce engaging multimedia and visual content
  • Copywriting and editing skills, desirably within communications or marketing in a charity, health or an educational context
  • Experience of applying and advising on brand identity
  • Excellent communication skills, able to develop engaging stories using a range of communications channels
  • Highly organised with ability to prioritise effectively and complete work on time
  • Sound judgement and confidence in advising senior leaders on communications, reputation, media handling and stakeholder engagement
