Job Summary

The role owns the full sales lifecycle for the events program, from researching opportunities and building the calendar with the Head of Events to securing bookings, managing budgets, and using performance data to optimize future selections.

  • Develop and pursue new event opportunities across the UK
  • Build relationships with organisers, manage enquiries from enquiry to confirmation
  • Track KPIs and use data to drive improvements and performance against targets

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Researching and sourcing new event opportunities across the UK
  • Working collaboratively with the Head of Events to strategically build the annual event calendar
  • Cold calling event organisers and proactively creating new opportunities
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with organisers and venues
  • Completing event applications and managing bookings from enquiry through to confirmation
  • Tracking event data, historic performance and commercial KPIs
  • Taking greater ownership over the final sales performance generated from the events you book
  • Managing event budgets and ensuring opportunities make commercial sense
  • Solving problems quickly when things don’t go to plan
  • Using performance data to improve future event selection

Requirements

  • Experience in sales, events, business development, account management or a similar commercially focused role.
  • Sales hungry and commercially driven
  • Confident, personable and full of energy
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
  • Comfortable cold calling and building relationships from scratch
  • Resilient and able to handle rejection
  • An excellent communicator with strong people skills
  • Naturally curious and willing to search for new opportunities
  • A creative thinker who can adapt quickly
  • A natural problem solver
