Job Description

Responsibilities

  • planning, creating, and publishing digital content across the organization’s website, social media channels, and email communications.
  • drafting and distributing press releases, managing media enquiries, and supporting strategic communication campaigns that highlight community projects and services.
  • maintaining a consistent brand voice, monitoring engagement analytics, and reporting on communication outcomes.
  • day-to-day activities include collaborating with internal teams, gathering stories and updates from community partners, ensuring timely updates of digital platforms, and contributing to communication plans that increase visibility and support for Support Staffordshire’s work.

Requirements

  • Strong writing skills, including experience creating clear, engaging content for digital and print channels.
  • Demonstrated ability in strategic communications and planning targeted messages for different audiences.
  • Experience producing and distributing press releases and managing basic media relations.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present information in an accessible and inclusive manner.
  • Familiarity with social media management, email marketing tools, and website content management systems.
  • Ability to analyze communication metrics and adjust content strategies based on data and feedback.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Experience working in or with community, voluntary, or non-profit sectors is an advantage.
  • Relevant education or training in communications, public relations, marketing, journalism, or a related field is beneficial.
