Job Description

Responsibilities

  • As Digital Communications Officer, you will play a central role in developing and maintaining Birmingham Mind’s digital presence. You will help design, structure and launch a new staff intranet, create and update website content, and produce digital materials that support our services, campaigns and events.
  • You will work closely with the Communications & Marketing Lead and colleagues across the organisation to plan and create content, keep digital channels accurate and accessible, support paid and organic campaigns, and provide guidance and training so staff and volunteers can make confident use of our digital platforms.
  • This is a varied and practical role for someone who enjoys turning information into clear, engaging content, collaborating with different teams and using insight and creativity to improve how people connect with Birmingham Mind.

Requirements

  • Experience of creating engaging content for websites, intranets and social media, together with confidence using content management systems, digital platforms and analytics.
  • An excellent written and verbal communicator who can adapt content for different audiences while maintaining high standards of accuracy, accessibility and brand consistency.
  • We are particularly interested in hearing from people who can manage multiple projects and deadlines, build positive working relationships and use data and feedback to improve communications.

Preferred

  • Experience of graphic design or digital content tools, paid campaigns, accessibility standards or communications within mental health and wellbeing services would be an advantage.
