The Charity’s mission is simple; to improve the quality of life of cancer patients, their families, friends and colleagues by helping them come to terms with and cope with their changing lives. Each cancer journey is unique, so our approach is tailored to individual needs. Through our free services, we empower clients to build resilience, manage anxiety, and regain control over their future.Led by CEO Meral Nugent and Head of Services Fiona Connell, our centre thrives thanks to qualified professionals and volunteers who put client care first. We've helped over 22,000 people navigate cancer, with significant growth in recent years. We offer emotional support (counselling, mindfulness, art therapy), complementary therapies (reflexology, massage, reiki), physical activities (FitSteps, pilates, yoga), and community groups that foster lasting connections. The Nightingale is recognised as a leading provider in the cancer care sector. We collaborate with organisations like North London Hospice, Cherry Lodge, UCLH and UCL to improve cancer care. Our annual Night Hike saw 1,300 participants in 2025, raising nearly £118,000.With 1 in 2 people affected by cancer during their lifetime, our services are increasingly vital. Despite growing demand, we receive no dedicated government funding. We rely entirely on community support and corporate partnerships to continue our work.Visit our centre or charity shop in Enfield to learn how you can help ensure no one faces cancer alone.Website: nightingalesupport.org.uk Phone: 0208 366 4333
