Job Summary

Own the creation and delivery of social content for The Cumberland, shaping tone and storytelling while coordinating campaigns, capturing authentic stories, and collaborating with teams and outside creators.

  • Plan and publish across social, website and internal communications
  • Work with agencies, photographers, videographers and stakeholders to execute campaigns

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • You’ll help shape how thousands of people experience The Cumberland every single day.
  • Working across Marketing, Communications and the wider business, you’ll create engaging content that builds awareness, trust and advocacy across our digital channels.
  • Create engaging content across video, photography, graphics and written copy for social media and wider marketing campaigns.
  • Plan, create and publish content across our social media channels, ensuring every post reflects our brand and personality.
  • Capture authentic stories from colleagues, customers, branches and communities that showcase what makes the Cumberland different.
  • Travel across our branch network and communities to create fresh, engaging content where the action is happening.
  • Develop content ideas that support integrated marketing campaigns, product launches and community activity.
  • Spot trends, conversations and cultural moments where the Cumberland can contribute in an authentic way.
  • Manage our social media content calendar, balancing planned campaigns with reactive opportunities.
  • Monitor channel performance, using insight and data to continually improve engagement and reach.

Requirements

  • Experience creating engaging content for social media, either in-house or within an agency.
  • Excellent writing skills and the ability to adapt your tone across different audiences and platforms.
  • Confidence creating photography and short-form video using mobile devices and editing tools.
  • A strong understanding of what makes content perform across platforms such as LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram and TikTok.
  • Experience using content creation and design tools such as Canva, Adobe Express or similar.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Confidence working with stakeholders across different teams and building positive relationships.
  • A willingness to learn, experiment and continually improve.
