Job Summary

Own the technical delivery behind performance campaigns, from audits and on-site SEO to tracking, migrations, and insights. You will translate complex SEO technical work into clear briefs for developers while prioritising fixes by commercial impact and juggling multiple accounts.

Requirements

  • 2 to 3+ years of hands-on technical SEO , ideally agency-side.
  • Genuine fluency with Screaming Frog (including custom extraction and custom search), Sitebulb, Google Search Console, GA4, and Ahrefs or SEMrush.
  • Proven experience building GTM containers from scratch , covering tags, triggers, variables, and the data layer.
  • Able to troubleshoot and fix existing containers using GTM Preview and Tag Assistant.
  • Solid GA4 and Google Ads conversion tracking knowledge implemented via GTM.
  • Comfortable reading and working with HTML and CSS as they relate to technical SEO.
  • Able to diagnose indexation, crawl, and rendering issues from first principles , then write a clear brief a developer can act on.
  • Able to prioritise fixes by commercial impact , not just volume of issues found.
  • A clear communicator who can translate complex technical work into straightforward recommendations for non-technical colleagues.
  • Comfortable managing multiple accounts and priorities at once.

Preferred

  • Hands-on experience with Google Consent Mode v2 and integrating it with a CMP such as Cookiebot, CookieYes, or OneTrust.
  • A working understanding of how consent affects tag firing , plus UK GDPR and PECR basics.
  • Log file analysis.
  • Python or scripting for SEO and data tasks.
  • Experience with JavaScript frameworks such as React or Next.js from an SEO angle.
  • Advanced structured data beyond the basics.
  • Experience supporting or mentoring executives on technical matters.
  • Consent Mode is something we will happily bring you up to speed on if you are already confident in GTM.
