Responsibilities

  • Board and Solution Readiness: Drive board and solution readiness for AMD FPGA platforms, ensuring customers have the hardware, documentation, and technical guidance needed for successful product development.
  • Provide technical guidance on FPGA-based board design, including schematic reviews, PCB layout, power delivery, signal integrity, thermal considerations, and board bring-up.
  • Lead out-of-box experience testing of AMD FPGA evaluation boards and reference platforms, validating the complete customer experience from initial board bring-up through software installation, example design execution, and feature evaluation.
  • Evaluate development boards and reference platforms to ensure they meet customer use cases and are ready for production adoption.

  • Experience designing complex FPGA-based platforms using AMD adaptive SoCs and FPGAs, from architecture through bring-up, validation, and production.
  • Strong understanding of high-speed digital board design, including PCB stack-up development, signal integrity, power integrity, power delivery, and thermal design considerations.
  • Knowledge of high-speed memory and I/O interfaces, including DDR/LPDDR, PCIe, Ethernet, USB, DisplayPort, HDMI, MIPI, JESD204, and other embedded interfaces.
  • Familiarity with AMD FPGA and Adaptive SoC families, including Versal™, Zynq™ UltraScale+, Virtex™, Kintex™, Artix™, Spartan™, and Kria™ platforms.
  • Experience using AMD FPGA development tools such as Vivado™ and Vitis™, with familiarity in embedded software development and Linux-based environments considered a plus.
  • Working knowledge of board design and signal integrity tools such as Cadence Allegro, HyperLynx, Altium Designer, and IBIS-AMI simulation methodologies.
  • Excellent technical communication skills, with experience developing technical documentation, delivering customer presentations, and supporting field applications engineers and customers.
  • Experience collaborating across hardware, software, product management, and marketing teams to deliver customer-ready FPGA solutions, evaluation platforms, and technical enablement collateral.
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage AI tools and methodologies to optimize workflows, enhance design processes, and improve customer enablement.
