Job Summary

Drive our platform’s growth by owning the SEO strategy, scaling AI-assisted metadata and technical SEO, and equipping a UK network of advocates with practical playbooks to boost organic reach and funding impact.

  • Platform Performance & Growth: Lead search strategy to improve rankings for travel resources and impact narratives, turning organic traffic into sustainable funding.
  • AI-Enhanced Visibility: Scale metadata, alt-text, and technical SEO using enterprise AI to maximize reach efficiently.
  • Network Digital Support: Create simple UX/SEO playbooks for the UK advocate network to grow their own digital presence.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Platform Performance & Growth Take charge of the overarching SEO strategy for our flagship digital platform. You will ensure our travel resources, impact narratives, and ethical itineraries rank highly on search engines.
  • AI-Enhanced Visibility Utilise modern digital tools and enterprise AI to scale metadata, technical SEO, alt-text, and overall organic reach efficiently.
  • Network Digital Support Create simple, accessible UX and SEO best-practice playbooks. These guides will empower our UK-wide network of independent community advocates as they build their own digital presence to support our mission.
  • Analytics & Strategy Monitor organic traffic and engagement data to ensure our digital arm is successfully generating the sustainable resources needed to fund our global projects.

Requirements

  • SEO & Web Optimisation (3+ Years Experience) You must have a strong professional background in technical SEO, organic growth strategy, and web optimization. You know how to improve site architecture, optimize metadata, and ensure digital platforms rank highly on search engines to drive sustainable traffic.
  • Analytics & Data-Driven Mindset You should be highly proficient in tracking, analyzing, and reporting on web traffic and user behavior (using standard industry tools). You know how to use data to refine digital strategies, improve engagement, and ensure our platform is successfully acting as a funding engine.
  • UX & Accessibility Focus You understand how to create seamless, accessible user experiences. You can translate complex technical SEO best practices into simple, easy-to-understand playbooks to empower our community advocates to build their own digital presence.
  • Autonomous & Tech-Forward As a fully remote volunteer in a fast-moving social enterprise, you need to be a highly organized self-starter. We work in an agile, innovation-forward environment, so you should be comfortable collaborating asynchronously and utilizing modern digital tools and AI to scale your technical output efficiently.
