Responsibilities

• Write high quality SEO focused content, including service pages, landing pages, blog articles, and website copy
• Carry out keyword research and content planning to support SEO campaigns
• Optimise on-page content including headings, internal links, and metadata
• Track the performance of new content and onsite changes using tools such as Google Analytics, Search Console, SEMrush, or Ahrefs
• Identify content gaps and opportunities through competitor and keyword research
• Review outsourced content to ensure it meets quality standards and aligns with our SEO strategy
• Identify and flag AI generated content where necessary, and ensure all final content meets our quality guidelines
• Collaborate with SEO specialists, designers, and developers to ensure content aligns with wider campaign strategies
• Maintain high writing standards while managing multiple deadlines

Requirements

• Excellent written communication and research skills
• Strong understanding of SEO fundamentals
• Experience using SEO tools such as SEMrush, Ahrefs, Google Analytics (GA4), and Google Search Console
• Ability to analyse content performance and improve existing pages
• Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
• Confident writing original content without the use of AI tools
• Experience working within an agency or marketing team environment
• SEO Copywriting: 1 year (required)
• United Kingdom work authorisation (preferred)

Nice to Have

• Experience publishing content in WordPress or a similar CMS
• Familiarity with on page SEO optimisation techniques
• Experience reviewing or editing third party content
• GCSE or equivalent (preferred)
