Job Summary

Own a portfolio of SEO client accounts with joint ownership of strategy, delivery, and performance across technical, content, and off-page workstreams.

  • Growth & Delivery: Own multi-workstream SEO programs driving client KPI targets and ROI through audits, keyword research, content, and link-building.
  • Performance & Reporting: Lead KPI tracking and articulation of progress with regular client updates and next steps.
  • Collaboration & Upsell: Identify growth opportunities and coordinate with Paid Media, Content, Web, and CRM for integrated campaigns.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Own a portfolio of SEO client accounts as the primary day-to-day point of contact, building strong, trusted relationships
  • Develop and deliver SEO strategies aligned to each client’s commercial goals, from initial roadmap through to ongoing optimisation
  • Coordinate delivery across technical SEO, on-page optimisation, content, and digital PR/link building, briefing and managing specialists to ensure work lands on time and to brief
  • Take ownership of account performance, ensuring client KPIs and ROI targets (rankings, organic traffic, leads, and revenue) are consistently met
  • Lead clear, insightful monthly and quarterly reporting, presenting performance, insight, and next steps to clients with confidence
  • Oversee and interpret technical audits, keyword research, and competitor analysis to identify and prioritise growth opportunities
  • Identify and recommend upsell and cross-sell opportunities to support client retention and account growth
  • Maintain accurate, timely account updates in line with our internal compliance standards, including the 48-hour Asana update rule
  • Collaborate with Paid Media, Content, Web, and CRM teams to ensure joined-up, integrated campaign delivery
  • Stay up to date with algorithm updates, AI Overviews, and the evolving search landscape, translating change into clear client recommendations

Requirements

  • Degree qualified (preferably in Marketing or a related discipline)
  • A minimum of three years’ SEO experience, ideally within an agency environment
  • Solid hands-on experience across technical SEO, on-page optimisation, content, and off-page/link acquisition
  • Confident with Google Search Console, GA4, and rank-tracking and reporting tools (e.g. Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, Looker Studio)
  • Strong proficiency in Google Sheets and/or Microsoft Excel
  • Experience managing multiple client accounts and priorities simultaneously
  • Proven ability to analyse data and turn insight into clear strategic actions
  • Strong understanding of the relationship between SEO, PPC, CRO, and Paid Social
  • A track record of building and maintaining strong client relationships
  • Commercial awareness with the confidence to spot and pitch growth opportunities
