Job Summary

Own the PR and integrated communications agenda for a diverse client portfolio, driving campaigns from strategy through deployment, with a strong emphasis on media relations, influencer partnerships, and cross‑discipline collaboration to deliver measurable coverage and growth.

  • Campaign leadership: develop and deliver integrated campaigns across FMCG and public sector, driving outcomes and client value.
  • Media and influencer orientation: secure high-profile coverage and manage influencer relations to amplify reach.
  • Collaboration and governance: coordinate with brand/design teams, drive proposals, and maintain account processes and evaluation reporting.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Leading on the development and delivery of communications campaigns and projects for LUX’s portfolio of clients, including FMCG and public sector
  • Leading on integrated creative communications campaigns
  • Ensuring day-to-day running of communications activity for client accounts and delivering client projects on time, on budget and to LUX’s standards
  • Playing a leading role on PR accounts including strategy development, campaign management and evaluation
  • Collaborating with colleagues across other disciplines including brand development and design
  • Contributing to pitches and proposals
  • Supporting cross department knowledge sharing and success stories from within the team
  • Contributing to the upkeep of the LUX website and social media presence through case studies and other content
  • Scoping and submitting award entries
  • Feeding into account management processes including weekly reporting, agendas, project trackers and contact reports

Requirements

  • At least 4 years relevant industry experience
  • Detailed knowledge of PR and best practice
  • Experience of ‘nose to tail’ management of deadline-driven, integrated marketing campaigns within a fast-paced agency environment
  • Strong copy writing skills to curate media materials with an exceptional attention to detail
  • Efficient time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks where required
  • Excellent client management skills
  • Strong little black book of press and influencer contacts across both the Scottish and UK media landscape and ability to build and maintain fruitful partnerships
  • Strong understanding of PR, including being familiar with platforms such as Roxhill and other tools, including AI
  • Development of creative PR and communications strategies in line with LUX's bespoke communications planning and evaluation framework
  • Managing and being accountable for the deployment and delivery of all communications outputs and activity for clients in relation to PR (including but not limited to media alerts, press releases, media lists and event guest lists, co-ordinating press photography and briefing suppliers)
  • Securing high-profile press coverage for clients through campaign sell-ins, monitoring the media landscape for opportunities and ad hoc pitching
  • Managing influencer relations on behalf of clients to secure positive exposure, including scoping, contracting and ongoing liaison
  • Taking ownership of campaign outcomes including monitoring coverage and performance against KPI trackers and reporting strategies as well as development of evaluation reports
  • Feeding into account management processes including weekly reporting, preparation of agendas, presentation materials, project trackers and contact reports
  • Collaboration with colleagues across other disciplines including brand development and design
  • Contributing to and attending pitches and proposals
  • Supporting on cross department knowledge sharing and success stories from within the team
  • Contributing to the upkeep of the LUX website and social media presence, through the creation of case studies and other content
  • Scoping and submitting award entries
