Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Running hard-working press offices across your accounts, managing day-to-day client communication and making sure nothing falls through the cracks.
  • Generating consistent media coverage, not just when there’s a big announcement to make
  • Bringing proactive media thinking to your accounts: generating angles and moments rather than waiting for news to land, and having the judgement to know what’s genuinely a story and what isn’t.
  • Building and maintaining genuine journalist relationships, growing your contact book, but more importantly, showing a real understanding of which journalists are likely to take which story.
  • Contributing to editorial planning and media strategy across your accounts, working with directors to shape the approach.
  • Contributing to new business pitches and proposals as the agency grows.

Requirements

  • Several years' agency experience, ideally including a meaningful stretch in tech or startup PR. You understand how early-stage companies work – and why they’re different to bigger brands – and you have experience working directly with senior client stakeholders such as founders and CEOs, as well as comms and PR heads.
  • A genuine track record of securing coverage in national, business and sector press. We’ll ask for examples.
  • You care about the quality of the work, not just whether it shipped, and you know the difference between coverage that genuinely transforms a client’s prospects and coverage that just fills a report.
  • Strong client communication skills: clear, confident and proactive. You keep clients informed and reassured without escalating everything upwards.
  • Because we’re fully remote, you communicate clearly and proactively, so clients and colleagues always know where things stand with you.
  • Comfortable managing your own workload across multiple fast-moving accounts, with strong instincts about what to prioritise.
  • A genuine interest in the technology sector: AI, fintech, deep tech, enterprise software. Bonus if you’re already a keen follower of the AI industry.

Preferred

  • Bonus if you're already a keen follower of the AI industry.

Benefits

  • Fully remote, with in-person team time when it counts.
