Job Summary

Own Spain portfolio PR and media relations, coordinating campaigns around new hotel openings and property initiatives, while shaping sustainability comms and crisis readiness.

  • Own Spain PR for 13 hotels and future expansion, plus manage Spanish agency
  • Lead content for Travelodge Property & Development channels and corporate site
  • Support senior team and help shape annual PR strategy and sustainability communications

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Lead media relations and drive communications that support new hotel openings and property initiatives
  • Oversee PR for Travelodge’s Spain portfolio (13 hotels) and future expansion; manage Spanish PR agency
  • Draft press releases and craft media campaigns; develop relationships with key stakeholders
  • Own content for the Travelodge Property and Development LinkedIn page and corporate website
  • Support Corporate Communications Director and wider PR team; contribute to annual PR strategy; oversee sustainability communications
  • Support the Press Office team; lead and develop a Property PR Executive
  • Engage in government affairs and advocacy activity related to property communications
  • Demonstrate adaptability and take ownership of high-profile campaigns; crisis communications capability

Requirements

  • Experience in Property or Corporate Communications
  • Experience in media relations and managing campaigns
  • Ability to manage a Spanish PR agency and oversee PR for Spain
  • Ability to contribute to annual PR strategy and sustainability communications
  • Ability to travel (UK and Spain)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to lead and develop a PR team

Preferred

  • Experience in event management
  • Experience in stakeholder relations
  • Experience in social media
  • Solid network of media contacts in the UK
  • Crisis communications experience (ability to navigate reputational challenges)
