Job Summary

Own the education sector communications and member-engagement program, turning stakeholder feedback into messaging and event strategy.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build relationships with schools, universities, and employers; represent at events.
  • Content & Channel Ops: Manage website, social, and newsletters with consistent messaging.
  • Planning & Insights: Gather member feedback, support strategic planning, and analyze surveys for trends.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Developing and implementing an effective marketing and communications strategy aligned with organisational objectives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with schools, universities, colleges, and employers across the education and training sector.
  • Manage and update website content, social media platforms, and member communications.
  • Ensure consistency, clarity, and accuracy of messaging across all communication channels.
  • Work alongside the management team to support strategic planning – to include carrying out member research/feedback on products and services, noting key insights and trends.
  • Attend and represent the Credit Union at events, meetings, and community activities within the education and training sector.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a marketing, communications, or community engagement role.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects independently and as part of a small team.
  • Experience of conducting research – via surveys – and analysing data to understand results.
  • Ability to represent the Credit Union at external events.
  • Full driving licence and access to a vehicle (essential to fulfil the duties of the role).
  • Experience of creating content for newsletters, websites, social media
  • Experience with design packages such as Canva
  • Competent user of IT systems, including Microsoft Office and digital communication platforms

Preferred

  • Third-level qualification in marketing, communications, or a related discipline.
  • Experience working within the not-for-profit, community, co-operative, or financial services sector.
  • Experience of engaging with external stakeholders or partners to achieve shared objectives.
