Job Summary

Own social content creation and scheduling for a heritage nonprofit, owning the calendar across four platforms and collaborating with a small marketing team to tell restoration, heritage, and community stories.

  • Content Ownership: Plan and schedule regular posts across Instagram, Facebook, X/Twitter, and LinkedIn.
  • Collaboration: Work with videographer, curator, site manager, and Marketing Lead to surface behind the scenes and updates.
  • Story Craft: Draft posts, stories, and reels that highlight restoration, heritage, nature, and community.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Plan and schedule regular content across our social platforms (Instagram, Facebook, X/Twitter, LinkedIn)
  • Collaborate with our videographer, curator, site manager, and marketing lead to share behind-the-scenes stories, updates, and features
  • Draft engaging posts, stories, and reels that highlight our work in restoration, heritage, nature, and community
  • Assist with social media campaigns, community events, and special project launches
  • Under the direction of the Marketing Lead you’ll plan and create engaging content, develop compelling copy and creative, and help manage our social presence to keep supporters informed, inspired, and connected to our mission

Requirements

  • Able to work independently and as part of a creative volunteer team
  • Time Commitment: Approx. 4–8 hours/week depending on season, projects, and availability

Preferred

  • A natural communicator with a flair for engaging and inclusive digital storytelling
  • Familiarity with content creation tools (e.g. Canva, Adobe, Video Editing Software - social media platforms a plus)
  • Passionate about heritage, conservation, or storytelling through digital platforms
  • Open to all experience levels – a great opportunity for students or career-changers to build a portfolio while contributing to a meaningful heritage project
